Photography Field Trip Georgia
After quite a fun Creative Space this week, I think we've got a load of places to visit.|
I was hoping we could do one official Photo Field Trip a month at least. There are so many local places that many of us want to visit and there are also "day trip" places we'd like to go. I was thinking if we had at least one a month and planned far enough in advance, that everyone would have a chance to make it.
I therefore nominate our AUGUST PHOTO FIELD TRIP place as Life University's 19th Century Village. It's in Marietta off of HWY 41 on the Life University campus. They have preserved the village really well and it is located in a wooded area (read - shade) and the walking path is lovely. There is a stream and a wheelhouse where a picnic area is located, so if we wanted to make it a lunch affair, it would be quite simple.
We've had suggestions for months closer to fall: Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, Burt's Pumpkin Farm, The Confederate (both the "Yankee" and Confederate) Cemeteries in Marietta, and several others that I don't remember at this point in time.
Let me know what you think about this month's suggestion and maybe offer a weekend that would be good for you (DragonCon weekend, obviously, is not good for me lol).
